Plumbing on a design-build project is planned alongside structure and layout rather than routed around them afterwards. Where drains can fall, how vents reach the roof, where the water heater lives and how supply is distributed all shape what the floor plan can do — which is why those decisions belong in design, not on site.
Rough-in work is inspected before it's covered, and the finish stage is where fixture selections and trim quality show. Within a renovation, older houses frequently need supply or waste replaced during the work, and that's better identified during planning than discovered mid-project.
